Hot work certification in three languages
If you are to perform hot work outside areas specially adapted for hot working, you’ll need a Hot Work Certificate. Our e-learning course Hot Work - Certification is available in English, Polish and Norwegian.
What is hot work?
Hot work means work involving the use machines and equipment that generates sparks and heat that could cause a fire. Examples of hot work include any work with an open flame, hot air, welding, cutting and / or grinding equipment.
Certification requirements
Safety Regulations stipulate that all who do hot work on objects insured by Norwegian insurance companies must hold a Hot Work Certificate*. "Hot Work - Certification" is a fire prevention course that will help you to increase your awareness of the fire risk associated with hot work and provide you with knowledge on how to reduce this risk. The certificate is issued by the Norwegian Fire Protection Association or collaborating organizations. It is valid in the Nordic countries for 5 years after which it must be renewed.

As soon as you have passed the exam, and we have received documentation that you have completed a practical fire-extinguishing exercise, you will receive your Hot Work Certificate.
